And now they’ve gotten a nice overhaul in 1.10. I played two or three in 1.09 and previous patches. Don’t be afraid to do your own thing though, this is just a sort of template to start from. I have to say that this Avenger has been great fun for me to play, and I suggest for all of you Paladin fans out there to give it a whirl. Just send me a private message and I’ll help you out if I can. If you have questions, or feel that I didn’t cover something. Many thanks to all of you who contributed in suggestions and such with the first version. My recollection was that the economy was driven by dupes and hacked items that were normally incredibly hard to acquire. This is the Final Version of my Avenger guide. (On a total side note, I'm curious how powerful builds will get in the remaster. The main thing I'm wondering is: what changed to make the build more powerful? Did they get rid of the Eth bug? That seems like something that would boost Paladins. I feel a little like a hipster who was into it before it was cool. But my recollection was waiting for 1.10 to someday come, and it never did (at least before I stopped).įrom some quick reading now, I'm kind of shocked that Hammer Paladins became an OP, popular build. I stopped playing in college, and realized that my account got wiped for inactivity (super demoralizing! I spent a lot of time on that).

From googling old archives, it seems like the Liberator build actually caught on to some extent - not sure if it's still a thing. For a while I spent a lot of time figuring out a build/strategy for a Vindicator (which relied on Smite/Fist of the Heavens/Hammers), and eventually came up with my own build called a Liberator (which swapped out some components to take advantage of Charge). I used to be really into Diablo 2 back in the day, and the announcement of the remaster has me thinking about it again.
